Officer Responds to Crime Alert and Helps Identify and Apprehend Bike Thief

On 3/22/21, while assigned to post 503, PSO Hernandez was informed by an affiliate that his bike was stolen while parked in front of Prentis Hall. PSO Hernandez notified Operations and worked with our Investigations Team to set up a crime alert with the photo of the perpetrator who was responsible for stealing the affiliate's bike.

PSO Hernandez transmitted over the radio that an individual who matched the suspect in the crime alert was observed on camera in front of Prentis Hall.  Responding Public Safety personnel along with PSO Hernandez were able to identify and apprehend the suspect who was then turned over to the NYPD.
