Overview
The Campus Safety Advisory Committee provides a formal, direct medium between students, faculty, and staff and Columbia University Public Safety to discuss issues pertaining to safety on campus, gather feedback on Public Safety initiatives, and strengthen communication to better inform the Columbia community.

Share Your Feedback
Your feedback is important! The Campus Safety Advisory Committee encourages individuals inside and outside of Columbia to share topics of importance for discussion at future committee meetings. Feedback submitted directly to the committee is among the primary methods to inform the committee about topics important to the greater Columbia community.
Background
The Campus Safety Advisory Committee was established in 2025 to strengthen the relationship between the Columbia community and Public Safety leadership. This committee builds on the work of two previous advisory groups: the Inclusive Public Safety Advisory Committee (IPSAC) and the Campus Access Advisory Committee. By consolidating these efforts into a single advisory committee, Columbia creates a more efficient structure to stay apprised of recent community needs and campus safety concerns.
