Columbia University's 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report Now Available

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (the "Clery Act"), Columbia University has published its 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, available now on our website.
The Clery Act is a federal law requiring colleges and universities across the United States to disclose campus crime statistics and security information by October 1 each year. This report is an essential resource for current and prospective students, employees, and visitors who want to understand the University's commitment to campus safety.
This year's report provides important information about our campus safety and security policies, emergency procedures, crime prevention programs, Title IX policies and procedures, and fire safety practices across Columbia's campuses. It includes statistics for reported Clery Act crimes and on-campus housing fire incidents from the past three years. The University also maintains a Campus Hazing Transparency Report in accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act. Going forward, the report will be updated on our website twice each year, in June and December. The Campus Hazing Transparency Report provides information regarding findings of responsibility for violations of Columbia University's Anti-Hazing Policy. We encourage community members to review the report and learn more about hazing prevention, reporting options, and available support resources.
