How are we doing?
The Department of Public Safety is committed to providing high-quality services to the Columbia University community. Your feedback helps us recognize DPS members for their performance and assists us in improving the delivery of service and achievement of goals. We welcome your comments concerning our service.
Do you have an idea or suggestion you'd like us to consider?
Do you believe we have mishandled an incident?
Do you want to nominate an officer for exceptional service?
We celebrate our Public Safety Officers for their outstanding support and service 24/7/365 by highlighting them in our communication channels. Email us with the name of the officer or officers involved (if known), along with the location or campus, day and time, and a few words about your experience. Read past submissions recognizing our officers.
Note: By submitting, you agree to the use of the testimonial on Public Safety digital platforms.
If you are displeased with an interaction that you have had with Public Safety personnel or with any other Columbia affiliate including a student, staff, or faculty member, you can file a formal complaint by using the Service Complaint Form, which is available online. Service complaints can be submitted anonymously if you prefer. However, although complaints submitted anonymously will be investigated vigorously, anonymous complainants will not receive a follow-up regardless of the outcome.
Once a complaint is submitted, you will receive an email with potential next steps provided that you did not submit the form anonymously.
