Dear members of the Columbia community:
Due to the volume of campus activities and to ensure the safety of our community and continuity of our academic mission and other campus activities, the following temporary changes are in place for guest and alumni access October 6-7, 2025.
- Same-day guest registration will be suspended beginning at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 6 (today). No members of the Columbia community will be able to register same-day guests after this time period. Same-day guest registration will be restored on Wednesday, October 8.
- Same-day alumni access will be suspended during the same period.
- Guest pre-registration requests for October 7 will close at 12:00 p.m. on October 6. The window to request pre-registered guests in the guest registration portal will close at 12:00 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. today (October 6). Guest requests will be reviewed and evaluated for those deemed critical to the University’s academic mission (e.g., for research purposes and classroom learning).
