Earlier today, several universities received an anonymous email threatening violence against their campus community. Though Columbia University has not received the email threat, we alerted NYPD of the situation out of an abundance of caution. The email has been investigated and deemed not to be a credible threat. Columbia Public Safety continues to monitor the situation.
The Columbia community is reminded that if you see something that appears to be suspicious or out of the ordinary to immediately call Columbia Public Safety at (212) 854-2797 or dial 911.
