Public Safety Supports Back to School Event in Harlem: Donate Today!

The Department of Public Safety, along with Facilities and Operations' Construction Business Initiatives and Columbia Community Service, is proud to support the 9th Annual Back-2-School community event hosted by the NYPD 26th Precinct Community Affairs along with Manhattan Community Board 9, by collecting school supplies and distributing them to local students on Wednesday, August 28. The event will feature a school supplies distribution, entertainment, refreshments, and other resources.

If you would like to donate, you can drop off donations of books, pens, pencils, rulers, crayons, notebooks, backpacks, calculators, binders, and folders to the following locations, no later than Monday, August 26: 

Morningside Campus - 24 hours:

  • Public Safety Operations Office Room 111 Low Library

Manhattanville Campus - 24 hours:

  • Public Safety Operations 3270 Broadway (east side of Broadway between 131st and 132nd Street)

Medical Center - 24 hours:

  • Public Safety Operations William Black Medical Research Building (650 West 168th Street) Room 109

Barnard College: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • Office of Community Engagement & Inclusion, Milbank 010

 Teachers College:  Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • Office of Community & Diversity Affairs (128 Zankel)
  • Office of Public Safety (Whittier Hall,1A)
