We are returning to normal building operating hours starting today, Monday, October 14, 2024, with the following exceptions and restriction times:

  • Low Library – locks at 8:30 p.m.
  • Hamilton Hall – locks at 8:30 p.m.; closed after end of last class

All buildings will reopen at their normally scheduled times in the morning. These restrictions will remain in place through at least Sunday, October 20. As a reminder, should urgent access be required during the restricted hours, members of the University community may contact Public Safety at 212-854-2797.

The following protocols remain in place for guest access at the Morningside campus:

  • Full-time faculty members, full-time senior research scientists, and full-time research scientists are permitted to directly register an unlimited number of guests that support mission-critical academic needs through the guest access portal.
  • Other mission-critical guest needs, including for scheduled events, will occur through the Office of the Dean.
  • Students who wish to bring guests onto campus should reach out directly to their Dean of Students, who will share approved requests with the Office of the Dean.
  • "Help Gates" are available at the south pedestrian gate at Broadway and 116th and the south pedestrian gate at Amsterdam and 116th to help with exceptional access needs, including guests who do not have QR codes, have a non-functional QR code, or are without valid CUID.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and security of our campus community.
