Over the last two weeks, we have been working to better manage the guest access system at the Morningside campus. We listened to the input from many in our community and have worked to address challenges that have been raised. We are pleased to announce that we have re-opened the improved Guest Registration Portal to our entire campus community.
- All guest requests can now be submitted directly through the portal.
- Requests can now include multi-guest registrations and multiple days.
- When approval is needed, the process has been substantially streamlined to prevent delays and reduce administrative workload.
- Guest requests must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. the evening prior to the date of access.
- We are working to expand the Guest Registration Portal to our affiliated institutions, including Barnard and Teachers College.

We want to also express to the Columbia community that we are continually assessing the timeline for fully reopening campus based upon recent experiences and the uncertainty in the external environment. We all share the goal of ensuring that our campus spaces advance our academic mission, strengthen our engagement with the City of New York, and create an environment supporting individual and collective wellbeing.
