Sgt. Jeffrey Alvarado and PSO Julian Wilkinson deescalated a potentially dangerous situation after observing a non-affiliate male harass three students while holding a metal rod. Alvarado and Wilkinson intervened, ushered the students to safety and radioed Public Safety Operations for additional support. Sr. Sgt. Jose Cruz responded and followed the individual, providing his location to NYPD who, upon arrival, evaluated the individual as emotionally disturbed and transported him to the hospital for further evaluation. The students were uninjured and were safely transported home by PSO Wilkinson.
