Public Safety Team’s Close Attention and Quick Actions Prevent a Possible Larceny

The great teamwork by Public Safety in Manhattanville prevented possible larceny from taking place. Through closed-circuit cameras, Officer Jose Medina observed a male attempting to remove the front tire from a secured bike on W129th Street. He immediately notified Sergeant Guido Torres and Officer Arthur Thompson who were in the area and responded, confirming that the unknown male was not the owner of the bike.  Sgt. Torres retrieved a U-Lock and secured the front tire and frame to the bicycle rack while the suspect was escorted off the premises. The team’s attention and quick actions prevented possible larceny.
